Two years since a large twister devastated one southeast Iowa community

HEDRICK, Iowa — Monday marks two years since a southeast Iowa community was hit by a strong tornado.

The set-up for severe weather was there as the area saw warm temperatures, humid conditions and strong winds.

Before the storms arrived that afternoon, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) issued a rare High risk for most of the area.
