DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — Gov. Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for four Iowa counties in response to severe weather that hit the state on Thursday, April 17.
According to a release , the proclamation is now in effect for Buena Vista, Fremont, Page and Plymouth counties. It will expire on May 18, 2025.
Among the communities most affected was Storm Lake, where storms led to a citywide power outage and large hail caused significant property damage . A tornado also went through Page County in southwest Iowa, damaging houses and barns …
