Des Moines Man Arrested for Felony Theft Against an Older Individual in Knoxville

A Des Moines man has been arrested for felony theft against an older individual in Knoxville.

According to court records, between October 11th, 2024 and April 10th, 2025 49-year-old Richard Pace had been the victim’s power of attorney. The victim is a current resident at Accura of Knoxville. During a non custodial interview with law enforcement Pace admitted to using funds from the victim’s bank account for his personal use to make purchases, pay bills,and make cash withdraws. During this time Pace allegedly did not pay the care center for the victims care and there was an outstanding balance of approximately $26,000.
