A West Des Moines man was arrested Monday after allegedly trying to smother a West Des Moines woman.
Alec Scott Frazier, 26, of 680 S. 68th St., West Des Moines, was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding flow of air/blood, obstruction of emergency communications and first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
The incident began about 5:15 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 600 block of 68th Street, where officers of the West Des Moines Police Department responded to a report from a caller who said that “a female came to his apartment and told him a male tried to suffocate her,” according to court records…
