WKU student charged after disrupting debate competition, causing panic

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Western Kentucky University student was charged after causing panic at a national speech and debate competition on June 19 in Iowa.

Jayden Roccaforte, 22, is charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.

Roccaforte walked on stage during a debate event for high school and middle school students, and asked if the crowd wanted to hear a knock-knock joke.
