(Des Moines) Today is forecast to be another active weather day. By this afternoon, and evening, a cold front sweeping across the state will spark a new round of thunderstorms—this time across central Iowa. These storms will be more widespread and, once again, could become severe. The primary concerns remain damaging winds and hail, but brief heavy downpours may also accompany the storms.
