DES MOINES, Iowa — After four years in the Drake neighborhood, Black Cat Ice Cream is closing its doors.
The business will no longer operate in the building located at 2511 Cottage Grove Ave. due to unspecified safety concerns. Black Cat Ice Cream said on Facebook that it reached a mutual agreement with the property’s landlord to terminate the lease.
“Being a part of the Drake community in a historic building was an honor and a dream come true,” Black Cat said on Facebook. “We are very thankful to everyone who has visited us over the years.”…
