A Des Moines man was recently sentenced for an incident in Jefferson and has since violated his parole.
According to court documents, 56-year-old Christopher Reber pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for third degree fraudulent practices. He had a two year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for two years with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.
The charge stemmed from an incident that happened at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson on February 13th. Court documents show that Reber won a jackpot on a slot machine, but he got up from the machine and another person sat in his place and claimed the winnings. However, through video surveillance from the casino, Reber was identified as the individual who won.
