New York Man Arrested in Warren County for Unauthorized Use of Credit Cards

A New York man was arrested in Warren County for credit card fraud and ongoing criminal activity earlier this week. According to court documents, 36-year-old Wei Wang of Flushing, NY used or tried to use up to 18 credit cards at Casey’s Convenience Stores in both Indianola and Carlisle. Court documents state an individual in California reported their credit card number was attempted to be used to purchase $100 at Casey’s to the Indianola Police Department, and afterwards the Indianola Police Department learned of a subsequent traffic stop by the Carlisle Police Department after similar attempts were made to purchase gift cards using different credit card numbers.

Court documents state Wang used 11 credit card numbers to purchase $790 dollars in gift cards, and would then go on to use 6 different credit card numbers to purchase a total of $99.92 dollars worth of consumable goods within the store…
