After last weekend’s storms, fishing conditions are fair across the board at Lake Darling State Park, according to the latest report from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
For black crappies, they are currently living seven to eight feet below the surface, occasionally moving to brushpiles five to six feet deep to stay cool.
Bluegills are cooling off in those same brushpiles but are living in slightly deeper waters, rock piles around eight to ten feet deep…
