Summer heat will continue to build into the middle of this week as temperatures will be even warmer Wednesday than they have been so far this Tuesday.
We’re also looking at isolated thunderstorm development this Tuesday afternoon into the evening hours. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is a possibility, especially in the early evening hours. There may be isolated, heavy downpours and lightning at a minimum. We’re keeping a close eye on any storms that may turn severe.
A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect for the entire ABC 6 viewing area of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa for Wednesday from Noon to 8 PM. Temperatures will be around 90 degrees in the afternoon with dew points in the mid-70s to nearly 80 degrees. That will make for a heat index of 100-105 degrees Wednesday afternoon to early evening…
