DES MOINES, Iowa — The search for a missing man in the Des Moines River has been suspended.
Shortly after 9:00 a.m. Sunday, Des Moines’ first responders were called to the Prospect Park boat ramp to investigate a report of a person in the river. Witnesses said a 49-year-old man fell off the dock into the river.

The Des Moines Fire Department deployed its water emergency team to look for the man for over an hour using two boats, sonar technology, and a drone. But dangerous conditions caused by rapid currents and floating debris made officials halt the search.
Officials have not released the name of the man who fell into the river…
