Wildfire smoke to affect air quality across Iowa Thursday and Friday

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources issued an air quality alert Thursday as smoke from Canadian wildfires drifts over the Hawkeye State.

The smoke is expected to affect air quality and lead to fine particulate matter exceedances over most of Iowa Thursday.
