COLFAX, Iowa — Multiple agencies were called to a car on its side and a semi fire on Interstate 80 outside Colfax Friday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, multiple crews were at the scene of two incidents that happened miles from each other near Colfax earlier this afternoon.
Forecast: Smoke lingers, cooler temps this weekend
Shortly after 5 p.m., an incident occurred on Interstate 80 near mile marker 156. An Iowa511 camera showed heavy smoke and flames coming from a semi. The fire was extinguished sometime later, and the truck remains on the shoulder of the interstate.
