IOWA (KCAU) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds participated in a press conference in the nation’s capital. USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, as well as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., talked about the Make America Healthy Again initiative.
Six states, including Colorado and Oklahoma, had their waivers approved and signed by Secretary Rollins.

The USDA said 20% of all SNAP funds are spent on food items such as desserts, salty snacks, and sweet drinks. Governor Reynolds said Iowa’s waiver allows the state to align SNAP allowable purchases with a number of foods, which are non-taxable under state law…
