A Perry man was arrested for alleged attempted murder.
According to court documents, Perry Police Officers responded to a call of a disturbance just before 8:30pm this past Wednesday. Court documents show that the alleged suspect left the scene before the officers’ arrival. Officers later found the subject, 30-year-old Jordan Todd, and a physical altercation took place as Todd resisted from being handcuffed. The criminal complaint states that the two officers eventually were able to place handcuffs on Todd’s wrists, but not before the officers sustained several injuries.
Court documents report that during the investigation, the victim from the disturbance claimed that a verbal argument turned physical as Todd allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck. The victim feared for their life and told officers that Todd said, “What are your last words?” Court documents show that the victim’s minor child and a friend walked into the room and saw Todd standing over the victim and then he fled the scene…
