DES MOINES, Iowa — On Sunday, families and students gathered to experience this year’s Back 2 School Bash at Evelyn K. Davis Park, filled with games, food and supplies as the school year quickly approaches.
According to United Way, one-quarter of students in the U.S. can’t afford supplies when gearing up for the school year.
Founded by Drake University students, Back 2 School Iowa launched the Back 2 School Bash to ensure students can enter their first day with confidence.
