Rippey Man Hits Perry Police Vehicle During High Speed Pursuit

A Rippey man was taken into custody following a high speed chase, which resulted in colliding with a Perry Police vehicle.

According to court documents, at approximately 10:30pm on Friday, August 15th, the Perry Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that Casey’s General Store employees claimed an unidentified male was noticeably drunk and gave a description of the vehicle.

Officers responded to the Casey’s General Store along 1st Avenue relating to an unidentified man that the affidavit shows that during the stop the driver, 30-year-old James Foster, of Rippey had signs of intoxication and instead of putting his keys on the dashboard, he put them into the ignition and drove away, resulting in the high speed pursuit…
