Iowa Lawmakers Urged To Implement School Safety Rules

(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa lawmakers are urged to act on school safety recommendations in the wake of the Minneapolis shooting.

State House Speaker Pat Grassley says legislators are actively pursuing safety improvements to prevent school shooting tragedies. A School Safety Task Force was formed last year to suggest violence prevention methods, including facility upgrades for quick classroom security and visitor vetting plans.
