It’s the Labor Day weekend, and many may be planning on traveling to celebrate.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Shelby McCreedy says that while there may be a lot of people on the road, there are also several things to keep in mind when it comes to safety. She reminds drivers to not speed, wear seatbelts, be mindful of other drivers and try to keep distractions to a minimum. McCreedy adds that anyone planning to consume an alcoholic beverage should also make sure that they’re being safe, by having a plan while they’re out.
