DES MOINES, Iowa — When fans of Pepp’s Pizzeria in Urbandale heard that one of the most well-known pizza reviewers in the world was going to be in town, they jumped on the opportunity.
Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and one of the hosts of Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, visited Central Iowa ahead of Saturday’s Cy-Hawk game. He took pizza recommendations ahead of time, and a few pizza joints stuck out.
