Kimberley Strope-Boggus first to announce Polk County Supervisor campaign after Angela Connolly retirement

DES MOINES, Iowa — A day after current Polk County Supervisor Angela Connolly went public with her decision to retire and not run for reelection in 2026, Kimberley Strope-Boggus announced she will be running for the seat.

“I want to thank Supervisor Connolly for her decades of service,” Strope-Boggus said in a social media post. “Polk County is better off than it was when she took office because of her innovative vision and fearless dedication.”
