Des Moines police seek help in locating attempted murder suspect

DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are seeking another person in connection with a shooting at a Des Moines convenience store in August that critically injured one man.

Sgt. Paul Parizek, Public Information Officer for the Des Moines Police Department, said the department is asking for the public’s help to locate 21-year-old Kuku Tutu Teya. He’s wanted on a felony attempted murder charge in the August 23rd shooting that happened in the 100 block of University Avenue.

Police said Teya is 6’2″ and weighs around 165 pounds.

Three people have already been arrested in connection with the shooting:

  • 23-year-old Rickey Meneweather — charged with attempted murder
  • 19-year-old Adam Tennih — charged with interference with official acts-firearm, persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana
  • 22-year-old Antonio Alexander — charged with felon in possession of a firearm, accessory after the fact
