A second lawsuit against the shuttered Sturm Cosmetic Surgery Center in Ames, Iowa, and its physician-owner, Lindsay Sturm, DO, has been dismissed, the Ames Tribune reported Sept. 11.
The lawsuit was filed by Joseph Kaissi, a resident of the United Arab Emirates who traveled to Ames for a surgical procedure. He filed the lawsuit in 2023, seeking compensation for “serious and permanent” injuries he suffered due to what he said was negligence by Dr. Sturm and her practice.
Mr. Kaissi was the first of three parties to bring lawsuits against the surgery center. His case was dismissed with prejudice Sept. 2, and his lawyer declined to comment to the Tribune.…
