Perry man arrested after allegedly scuffling with police

A Perry man was arrested Thursday after allegedly scuffling with officers of the Perry Police Department at his home.

Johnathan Coty Brown, 38, of 1714 Fourth St., Perry, was charged with two counts of assault on persons in certain occupations, 12 counts of violation of a no-contact order and two counts of interference with official acts.

The incident began about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 1700 block of Fourth Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department made contact with Brown in regard to a dozen messages he allegedly sent via social media Sept. 4 in violation of a no-contact order…
