Perry Man Arrested on Harassment and Burglary Charges in Two Separate Incidents

A Perry man was recently taken into custody following two separate incidents that happened this past Saturday.

According to court documents, the Perry Police Department received reports on Saturday, September 13th of a female victim who alleged that she had gotten harassing threats from 20-year-old Angel Moises Ortega Velasquez. The criminal complaint states that Ortega Velasquez and the victim share a young child together, and that he was allegedly making verbal threats if he did not get to see his daughter.

Court documents show Ortega Velasquez admitted to having firearms and bullets that he would use to assault the victim and family members. As officers were gathering information, they were notified of an alleged burglary involving Ortega Velasquez later that evening. The complaint states that a female victim was walking through her garage to go outside to her vehicle and when she opened it, Ortega Velasquez popped his head inside, but he claimed that he was confused at which house he was at and then left…
