The Storm Lake Police Department is investigating a string of vehicle burglaries and a stolen vehicle that led to the arrest of two juveniles in Urbandale.
Just after midnight on Monday, officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 800 block of West Milwaukee Avenue in Storm Lake. The vehicle showed signs of forced entry and an attempted theft. A similar incident was discovered around 3:40 a.m. at a business in the 1600 block of Lake Avenue, with matching damage.
By 5:50 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Ontario Street for a stolen vehicle report. That vehicle was later located in Urbandale around 2 p.m., where officers say two juveniles fled during a traffic stop but were caught after a short foot chase…
