Former Iowa CEO who stole from company sentenced to prison

JESUP, Iowa (KCRG) – The former CEO of a telecommunications company in Iowa will spend more than three years in federal prison for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the company.

Anthony James Lang, 42 of Jesup, was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to one count of federal wire fraud.

Prosecutors say he stole more than $600,000 from a telecommunications company between January 2017 and January 2023. Lang was the CEO of the company and had access to the company bank accounts. Judge C.J. Williams called Lang’s conduct as the product of greed and waste during sentencing…
