Windsor Heights launches fundraiser to bring Safe Haven Baby Box to public safety building

WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa — Windsor Heights is fundraising for a Safe Haven Baby Box, which allows parents in crisis to surrender custody of a child up to 90 days old, the city’s fire department announced on Facebook.

The fire department is partnering with the Knights of Columbus, a global Catholic fraternal service order, and Safe Haven Baby Box to bring the box to the Windsor Heights Public Safety Building.
