(Norwalk) — Tomorrow, Norwalk’s mayor plans to send an initial proposal to Buc-ee’s in hopes of bringing the mega gas station to Iowa.
“There are a lot of people in town who know what Buc-ee’s is and what it could bring to the community in as far as revenue goes,” said Tom Phillips, Mayor of Norwalk. “I think they’d like to experience what Buc-ee’s offers. There’s just an interest in having Buc-ee’s here.”
Phillips says the city is in the process of annexing 2,900 acres of land, extending out to Interstate 35, for a number of development projects, and he wants to add Iowa’s first Buc-ee’s to that list…
