Miel Johnson joined Krause Group as chief of staff to the company’s founder and CEO, Kyle Krause, on Aug. 11. She is still getting to know her new surroundings and the community she will eventually call home, but Johnson said she’s excited about the opportunity to join Krause Group and begin taking advantage of all the things the Des Moines metro has to offer.
She currently lives in Arlington Heights, Ill., and commutes to Des Moines during the week until she and her children can make the full transition to the metro at the end of the school year next spring.
Johnson is no stranger to the chief of staff position, having previously served in that role at Envira Global LTD, a woman-owned advisory, technology and capital startup in Chicago. Before that, she was director of human resource programs at Aspen Dental Management in Chicago.
