Midwest Weather: Warm, Dry Conditions Continue Oct. 11–17 Across Illinois, Wisconsin & Michigan

Chicago, IL – The Midwest will experience a stretch of mild, dry weather from October 11–17, according to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center’s 8–14 Day Outlook released October 3.

NOAA forecasters show a 70–80% probability of above-normal temperatures across Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Iowa, as a stable ridge of high pressure dominates the central U.S. Highs are expected to climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, roughly 10 degrees above seasonal norms for mid-October.

Rain chances will stay below normal, especially across southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, where precipitation has already run low in recent weeks. The dry pattern should aid farmers completing fall harvests but could intensify short-term dryness across parts of the Upper Midwest…
