Government shutdown could impact 131,000 Iowa households that relying on SNAP benefits

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — SNAP benefits might not come through this coming November, that’s according to an announcement from Iowa’s Health and Human services.

Currently there are more than 131,000 households that receive the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits each month.
