A Prairie City man with a prior felony conviction has been given a suspended five-year prison sentence for illegally possessing firearms, after accepting a negotiated guilty plea. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department arrested 60-year-old Bradley Stephen Warren in May for possessing a handgun and three AR-15 rifles. He was charged with four counts of dominion or control of a firearm or offensive weapon by a felon, which is a class D felony. District Court Judge Charles Sinnard accepted Warren’s guilty plea to one count, and dismissed the remaining three.
