Prairie City Man Receives Suspended Prison Term On Felony Gun Possession Charge

A Prairie City man with a prior felony conviction has been given a suspended five-year prison sentence for illegally possessing firearms, after accepting a negotiated guilty plea. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department arrested 60-year-old Bradley Stephen Warren in May for possessing a handgun and three AR-15 rifles. He was charged with four counts of dominion or control of a firearm or offensive weapon by a felon, which is a class D felony. District Court Judge Charles Sinnard accepted Warren’s guilty plea to one count, and dismissed the remaining three. The Prairie City man’s sentence also includes two years of probation, psychological and substance abuse evaluations and treatment, and a suspended $1,025 fine…
