Where has the iconic ‘Nomade’ sculpture gone?

DES MOINES, Iowa – One of the most Instagrammable spots in Des Moines is the crouching figure made up of white letters known as “Nomade.”

But a visit to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park could leave you disappointed — “Nomade” appears to be on the move.

The sculpture has been disassembled and shipped off for repairs. It will be stripped down to the metal, repaired if needed, given fresh bolts and hardware, and then repainted.
