WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Toys R Us is opening a new flagship store in the Jordan Creek Town Center Saturday, Nov. 1 — seven years after one of the toy brand’s stores on Army Post Road shut its doors due to the company’s nationwide bankruptcy liquidation.
Jordan Creek’s new Toys R Us, located next to the mall’s food court, will open its doors to the public at 10 a.m. On opening day, visitors can stop to greet the brand’s iconic mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe.
The store is just one seven new flagship stores and several holiday shops Toys R Us is rolling out as part of a major U.S. expansion with its partner, Go! Retail Group.
