DES MOINES, Iowa — This weekend Reggie’s Sleepout is holding it’s 20th anniversary event to raise funds for the fight against youth homelessness.
Reggie’s Sleepout honors Reggie Kelsey, who aged out of foster care at age 18 but was found dead within a year due to lack of resources and support. Held by Iowa Homeless Youth Centers, the event raises money and awareness by putting participants in someone else’s shoes.
