Des Moines referendum passes despite arrest of former superintendent

(ABC 6 News) — Despite a cloud of scandal over the Des Moines Public School district after its superintendent went into federal custody, voters overwhelmingly gave its referendum a green light.

The $265 million question, dubbed the “Reimagining Education Plan,” passed with 74% of the vote.
