DES MOINES, Iowa — A proposed professional men’s soccer team for Des Moines is already expanding, as the backers of the team announce plans for a professional women’s soccer team, creating the first-division women’s professional sports team in Iowa.
The team would be a part of the the division one Gainbridge Super League, operated by the United Soccer League, and would play in the highest tier of women’s professional soccer here in the U.S.
