DES MOINES, Iowa — A man was killed during an overnight motorcycle crash in Des Moines’ eastside.
The Des Moines Police Department says officers and medical crews were called to the intersection of E. 26th Street and State Street around 12:30 a.m. on reports of a crash. Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old male who had sustained critical injuries.
Lifesaving efforts were initiated at the scene and continued while the man was transported to a local hospital. Despite efforts by first responders and medical staff the motorcyclist died at the hospital.
