The pursuit began a little before 10:00 p.m. when officers with the Des Moines Police Department tried to pull over an SUV fleeing from a dispute in a parking lot in the 2900 block of Ingersoll Avenue, said DMPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Paul Parizek.
Ladema, the driver of the SUV, refused to stop and tried to flee from officers. About two minutes after the pursuit began, Sgt. Parizek said Ladema crashed the SUV at 10th Street and Woodland Avenue. She ran from the vehicle, but was caught quickly by officers.
