Perry Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Cash and Blank Checks From a Former Employer

A Perry man was recently arrested for alleged burglary and theft of a home.

According to court documents, a Perry Police Officer investigated the alleged incident where 24-year-old Logan Steadman was said to be in the home of a former employer on October 31st and stole $400 in cash and two blank checks. Court documents show that when asked Steadman denied being in the residence.

The affidavit states that after the officer obtained a search warrant for Steadman’s cell phone, it showed Steadman’s location that he was inside the home just before noon on October 31st. Court documents report that the phone also showed that Steadman sent a text message with a photo of the cash and checks a few minutes later. The officer states that Steadman should have known that the person he was stealing from was considered to be an older individual, due to being a former employee…
