DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department says a woman reported missing 14 years ago has been found alive in another state.
According to investigators, the case began in 2011 when the then-54-year-old disappeared while visiting family in southern Iowa. She and her partner had traveled from South Carolina, but during the visit, they became separated and she vanished.
Police said the case offered few details, no evidence of a crime, and no leads, eventually turning cold. She was later entered into the nationwide missing person database…
