Iowa State University researchers develop accelerated semiconductor training program

Iowa State University officials are working to develop a faster track to semiconductor careers and establish a talent pipeline in the international, high-demand industry through a new training program.

Powered by a three-year, $30 million grant from the National Science Foundation, the 12-month program will provide students with virtual and hands-on learning and training in the foundations and skills that are needed to make a career in semiconductor chips, said ISU associate professor of electrical and computer engineering Santosh Pandey.
