(Des Moines) The overnight snow has coated Iowa’s highways and secondary roads with a fresh blanket. Nearly all roads in Iowa are completely covered with snow this (Saturday) morning.
Accumulating snow will fall today, at times heavy. Storm total accumulations of 8-12” over much of Iowa, with areas of higher amounts possible. Travel will remain very difficult, if not impossible, today and into tonight. Winds will increase around this evening, exacerbating and prolonging travel impacts from blowing snow into Sunday morning…
