Iowa Lottery winner credits late husband for lucky tradition

DES MOINES, Iowa — A long-time tradition once shared with her late husband led to a $100,000 lottery win for a West Des Moines woman.

The Iowa Lottery said Marjory Rittman, 64, won the prize as part of the “$100,000 Mega Crossword” scratch game. Rittman scratched off the winning ticket Saturday night. Playing crossword lottery scratch games on the weekend had been a tradition shared with her late husband, Dale, who passed away in March.
