Cities in central Iowa announce snow ordinances, parking bans ahead of weekend snow

DES MOINES, Iowa — Cities in central Iowa are preparing for another chance for measurable snow in the state.

The Local 5 Weather team predicts cities across central Iowa will receive 3-5″, though some parts could get a heavy band of snow that could drop up to 7″. A formal Weather Impact Alert is in effect from Saturday night into Sunday morning, with the meteorologists expecting most snow to come down overnight.
