Des Moines Woman Charged with Felony Burglary After Incident in Ainsworth

A Des Moines woman was arrested and charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony, following an incident in Ainsworth Saturday night. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:06 p.m. authorities received a report of an intoxicated female trying to break into a residence in the 600 block of Lincoln Street. Allegedly she had a hammer and crowbar with her.

Authorities responded and arrested 38-year old Kristin Whaley.

According to court records, Whaley allegedly broke into the residence and intentionally or recklessly inflicted bodily injury to a person. The victim allegedly had a bite mark on their arm and marks on their face. During the altercation, Whaley also sustained injuries after allegedly being hit with a paint can…
