DES MOINES, Iowa — Central Iowa will play host to a major aviation event in 2027 — The Iowa Air Show: Fields of Thunder.
Organizers with the Iowa Air Show, Catch Des Moines, and the Iowa National Guard are holding a news conference Tuesday afternoon at the Des Moines International Airport to reveal more details about the event.

Catch Des Moines has announced that a big part of the May 2027 show will be the U.S. Navy’s premier flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels. At Tuesday’s event, details on the planning and what visitors to the air show can expect will be released.
