Severe Weather Alert: Snowfall and Freezing Temperatures in Iowa

A Winter Weather Advisory is currently in effect for portions of northwest Iowa extending into central and southeastern Iowa until 3 PM CST today. Residents can expect total snow accumulations between 2 to 4 inches, leading to slippery road conditions. Therefore, it is advisable to plan accordingly and exercise caution while traveling.

Additionally, a Cold Weather Advisory will take effect tonight at 6 PM, lasting until 10 AM CST Sunday. This advisory warns of dangerously cold wind chills reaching as low as 30 degrees below zero in much of northern, central, and southeastern Iowa.
